Sermon Notes:

Jesus prayed consistently not just to petition God for his needs but to prep himself for the challenges of life on earth. Matthew 26:36-46 (NLT)

Pray that you are energized from within with mental fortitude to resist temptations. Luke 22: 39-47 (AMP). Jesus said that men ought to pray always and not to faint. Luke 18:1 (NKJV), Ephesians 3:16 – 21 (AMP). That means that Prayer is not a passive exercise. Jacob wrestled with God in prayer and he was referred to as one who had strength with God.

Elijah prayed and observed the cloud to know the efficacy of his prayers. 1 Kings 18:41-45 NLT, JAMES 5:17-18.  The Prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available dynamic in its working. 

Prayer brings STRENGHT, BOLDNESS, CONFIDENCE as a result of the HOLY SPIRIT INFILLING     –  ACTS 4:31. 

We build yourself up to your most holy faithJude v20 This kind of prayer is by the spirit. 1 CORINTHIANS 14:4; Isaiah 28:9-12; Acts 3:19. 

The highest level or form of prayer is not high sounding words of man’s wisdom rather lacks articulation. Roman 8:26 (AMP, MSG).
